Olivia Bloom is the Executive Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Geron Corporation with responsibility for accounting and reporting, finance and investor relations. Since joining Geron in 1994, Ms. Bloom held several finance and accounting positions of increasing responsibility, as well as oversight of additional operational functions, including human resources, lab support and information technology. During her tenure, Geron transitioned from a privately-held to a publicly traded biotechnology company, and from discovery stage to late-stage development with two Phase 3 clinical trials in hematologic malignancies today. Over this time, Ms. Bloom led and supported multiple equity and debt financings and business collaborations, as well as developed the internal infrastructure to support the growth and maturity of the Company. Prior to Geron, Ms. Bloom started her career in public accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. Ms. Bloom graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. She also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Association of Bioscience Financial Officers.
